It was late afternoon and Shannon's mother and younger sister were there at the carnival, partially because Cella couldn't stop begging them to take her once she heard about the carnival coming into town. And between their mother and Shannon, they were both pushovers when it came to Cella. Shannon had gotten separated from the other two, but he wasn't too worried about the situation, he was sixteen now and he knew how to find his way around; New York City wasn't a problem at all when he visited over the years, so this was a piece of cake.

Deciding he'd just take a walk around the vendor's area, Shannon wasn't really paying much attention to anything in particular; just walking and people watching.
