Adam looked back over at the boy, his eyebrows going up in surprise when asked if he worked here. "Um...no, I don't. But it seems like it wouldn't be too bad of a job. They're...uh...pretty cute," Adam said, pointing to one animal that had managed to successfully transform into a baby rabbit. "I imagine the people that work here long enough never notice the smell." In all honesty Adam figured it was probably much more pleasant dealing with harmless animals that just want a little food and attention than people who can be just nasty.
"I'm Adam by the way," Adam said, shifting down slightly so he could extend his hand to the boy.
Paulie smiled and nodded in agreement with the boy. Although, Paulie had to admit that he was beginning to forget about the odor now as well, so perhaps he was in the same boat as this guy.

Yeah, donno why I asked.. you don't look like a carnie." He gave an apologetic smile in case the boy took offense. But he did have some good knowledge of the fading of creature scents, so that was probably Paulie's reasoning. Whatwhatwhat? A good job..?
This? Paulie contorted his facial muscles and shook his head. "
No way. Not for me, at least. I've already got enough trouble trying to get girls to like me; I don't need this smell sticking to my clothes and scaring off all of 'em!" Heh.
It was true, though. The workers were probably well used to the smells of dirty creatures and animal dung. Or maybe their olfactory senses were failing them..
Right! Names. Paulie nodded when he introduced himself as Adam, then shook his hand as he did the same. "
Cool, cool.. I'm Paulie. Nice to meet ya." When they finished their hand-shake, he dropped his arm to the side again. "
