The fifteen-year-old opened her eyes and forced herself into a sitting position.
Oh, she was at the castle.
OHHHHHHH.... she fell and grabbed someone's foot!
"Shooooooooooot. Sorry, dude. I, er..." She what? Got over-excited about a bouncy castle? "I made this totally cool potion the other day and it makes me a bit dizzy at times, so I er... lost my footing..." BAM, LIE. Boy, oh, boy, she was certainly good at those. Ainsley fixed her hair briefly, then realized that she could of killed this boy. "You're not hurt, are you? If you are then I'm sure I can fix up a potion to make you feel better." She giggled slightly.
Blehh! He didn't look too physically damaged. No harm done.
Wow. That was a long 'shoot,' Paulie thought.
The girl before him started to explain herself then, and she ended up kinda talking a lot. Like, maybe a mile a minute. Really fast, he thought. Or maybe it just sounded fast because she was saying a lot when all he really expected was two words? He scratched his head. "
What kinda potion was it?" He wanted one!
"
Uhh, nope, I'm all right. Thanks, though," he smiled crookedly. Oh wait? If he was hurt, then she'd make him a potion? Like a dizzy potion? He better find out how trustworthy this clumsy girl was before he took a potion of hers, though. Maybe. Actually, on second thought, he didn't care. Paulie decided to ask later, if he remembered.
Something on her arm caught his eye; it was partly covered, but he could tell that it was a tattoo. Or maybe a couple? He wasn't sure. His eyes jumped back to her. It was interesting, hearing about why people had tattoos or the stories behind them, and all that, but that was sorta a personal question to be asking before you even know someone's name, so he asked a boring question instead. "
So, uh, what's your name, then? I'm Paulie Foster."
That is one thing he did like about himself: the name.
