Okay, so he really wasn't. But Nikolai sure did like to pretend; it went well with that big ego of his.
Grinning, he glanced at the ferris wheel once more and he couldn't help but chuckle at Mia's comment. He would have liked to stay up at the top and see the view, too, but he didn't think everyone else on the ride would have liked that much. "We could always find another way to see the view." It wasn't like they had to go home as soon as they were finished at the carnival. And speaking of home, he raised his eyebrows. "Do we have another house that I don't know about?"
Because as far as he knew, they would not be able to see Moscow from fifty feet in the air.
Shaking his head, clearly amused, he watched as Mia handed the woman money, which he felt weird about; he should have paid, he let her tug him into one of the carriages. Once inside and seated next to her, Nikolai wrapped his arm around her and handed her the sightseeing goggles. "There. Maybe you can see our house with them."
Oh?
Another way to see the view? Mia was rather intrigued by this and wondered what he had in mind. She found it quite amusing that he could appear, in front of others rather cool and serious but he could be just as wacky as she was.
"Ahh are we going to hang out in London for a couple of days?" That's probably not what he meant about the view but hey, since they were here and all. And she never really got to see any part of London except Diagon Alley.
Eh, of course he just had to comment about that. So she got a little excited about how far she would be able to see on the ferris wheel. Instead of answering him, she merely poked her tongue out at him.
Mia didn't fail to notice the look on his face when she paid the carnie lady and she shook her head. She didn't know why that should upset him. Girls paid for things all the time, besides that it was actually his money anyway. She had taken some out of his vault. He had given her a key after all.
Once they were inside the carriage, Mia took the goggles from him and immediately put them to her eyes and looked at him.
"Woah! I can count all your nose hairs." She lowered the goggles and grinned.
"Speaking of nose hairs. Did I tell you that I was polyjuiced as a boy during the term. He had a lot more nose hair then you." It had been rather disgusting.
