'See, it wasn't that bad!' the girl laughed.
Mordred slightly winced when Ari hugged him. It was a fast hug, but it felt nice.
"So that's a hug." he said smiling; happy that he didn't faint. He realized that hugs from good friends were not a bad thing. They felt...real.

A holiday in Wales was nothing compared to one in Egypt, Ariadne realized. Nevertheless, she did have a good time, so she could give a sincere answer. 'It was fun, and a lot warmer than in the north. I was happy to spend some time with my mum, after a year at Hogwarts. But now I'm rather excited to go back.' she confessed. 'But tell me about Egypt! Did you go inside the pyramids?' the Gryffie asked with fascination.
Mordred grinned as he spoke.
"Yes we did. We were able to see the hieroglyphs drawn on the walls. Who knew that those were actually 'magical spells' to help the dead gain entrance to the other realm. Really fascinating." he said dreamily.
"The local market's full of items that are used as amulets, potions ingredients, herbs." he continued.
"And muggles buy them." he added. Their trip to Egypt made him realize that they indeed live with muggles in a parallel world. This realization made him more curious of the non-magical people.

'Oh, I like to shop, but the carnival is distracting me.' the girl chuckled. 'I suppose it is a muggle tradition, yes. When I was younger, my mum was adamant to teach me as much as possible about the muggle world, and she also took me to a carnival, but all I can remember was a gypsy fortune-teller. She was a fraud, of course. I don't suppose they have one here.'
"Fortune teller?" Mordred smirked. He never took his Divination classes seriously.
"I don't get Divination. It's not exciting anymore if you already know your future." Well it was rather his excuse to not attend Divination classes.

'I don't know if you remember him, but he's that boy our age hitting on every girl, and generally using the cheesiest remarks in the world. That's why I don't like him, but Rose and Gwen may have more profound reasons.' Ari explained, forgetting once more that Mordred had no idea who Gwen was. 'Oh, and Gwen is one of my closest friends, she's in Ravenclaw and the same age as us.'
"Ohhh. Him. Yes, I now remember." he said as he recalled the time they were in Fortescue's last summer. Mordred wanted to talk to that boy, but he seems to be very busy with the girls.
"Did he talk to you? Used his cheesy lines?" Mordred asked trying not to laugh.
