Raven Sloan walked up to the cabinet. She had been waiting for the shopkeeper to come out of the back room so that she could get a wand, but she was getting impatient. She looked at all of the things on display and decided on the glow in the dark wand holster and the Wand Polishing Kit. "What's so great about a house wand..." she muttered loud enough for her parents to hear. They looked uncomfortable standing in the corner. They still weren't quite sure about her going to Hogwarts. But even though this experience was scary, Raven knew that she wanted to go. She loved the idea of making new friends and learning to use magic. She was just afraid she wouldn't be good at it. Her parents had agreed but only just. Raven would just have to prove to them that she was a wonderful witch. She would have to work hard and make wonderful friends!
