For the love of Lilly...Sa13+ Hello. I am Lilly. I am not new to writing, but I AM new to letting others read them...so please be not...so...mean...yeah.
Oh. And I know this isn't exactly a poem, but I figured seeing as how I am posting on a HP site...the first thing put up should be about HP. Magic Beyond Words
Some people may say I am a Harry Potter freak, but I don't mind. To me, they are just as real as you and I...or could be. It seems silly to think that a children's book has become such a cultural phenomenon, but it's incredible that it has. And knowing I have helped out by buying the books or seeing the movies, by being part of some of the biggest events of a generation is amazing. I have always been and will always be such an avid Harry fan. Because Jo's books are so relatable to people of any age, her characters helped shape me into who I am now.
Harry will always be a part of me and my life. I have been with him to the very end, as only a true fan would be. Midnight movie and book premiers on school nights, with my best friends and I dressed as the characters was always the highlight of the year. Even when I went last winter...when I was 20...I dressed up...wand, cloak and everything. Its always better then...with all the other fanatics with you, watching them for the first time. Every year since I was about 9 or so...ther has been some sort of HP premiere. I am so very honored and proud to have been fortunate enough to be on this incredible journey.
Even though the story has ended, the legacy never will. That is precisely the reason Harry will enchant children for decades to come. Jo created a timeless story, something that will resonate with all kinds of people far in the future, a hard task to accomplish.
Starting out with a vision nobody even knew about to a worldwide best seller, I'd say Harry has indeed come a long way. So, please call me what you will, but I am a Harry Potter freak and proud of it!
