As it is past midnight, in the UK, today, August 11, 2010, is Ginny Weasley's 30th birthday. Ginny, the youngest Weasley child, was sorted into Gryffindor House, just like her six older brothers, then went on to join Dumbledore's Army and the House Quidditch team during her Hogwarts career. Ginny aided in the fight against Voldemort in the seventh book, Deathly Hallows, along with her friends and family.

After Voldemort's defeat and leaving Hogwarts, Ginny went on to become a professional Quidditch player for the Holyhead Harpies, from which she retired when marrying Harry Potter, with whom she had three children - James, Albus, and Lily. When she left her prestigious Quidditch career, Ginny became an established journalist, working as senior Quidditch editor for the Daily Prophet.

Ginny Weasley, as pictured above, is played by actress Bonnie Wright in in the Harry Potter films.
