He looked down at his wrist that Louisa was now holding. The sudden mood change was almost scary. Dallin was completely silent as she finally got out what she was trying to say. He stared at her, perplexed by her wet eyes and sniffing.
He was so confused.
"Okay." A stomachache. Sure, if she said so. For some reason, he didn't believe her excuse. Ellie said that she had seen them before leaving - so why had she given up? Sure, maybe she hadn't recognized them from the back, but... still. Dallin couldn't get his mind around it. "Are you mad at me?" He couldn't help but ask. Her sniffing and earlier behavior made him think she must have some sort of a problem with him. He took a slow, deep breath to get himself to calm down. He wasn't going to snap at her or get mad.
Louisa sat still.. staring down at the floor thinking about his question. "Mad at him"? Was that what she had felt last night and a few minutes ago? Probably.. not. Because she was very used to herself getting mad
thanks to Enya and she never ever acted like this before. "
I.. don't think so," She mumbled, giving up on the answer. She was going to read another book about Psychology during the summer. Or maybe ask Vashti or Kita. They were older bookworms and should know about it. Naturally.
..why was he still standing? Did he not want to sit back down with her? He was probably going back to Ellie and hold hands and.. Gulp. Yeah. Just hold hands, he did hold her hand once at the whomping willow! And he touched her hair too! She bet he didn't do that to Ellie, now did he? She looked up at him suddenly and asked, "
So.. you and Ellie are... friends?" That sounded extremely stupid but she needed to assure her fluttering heart that her doubts were in vein and that he really had no girlfriend. He wouldn't lie to her.
Although she couldn't find a connection between herself and him having a girlfriend O__o
