Good Orlando. Good words. Strong words of truth that Legend really only could nod his head to. Because Orlando was right. Everything that he said. Legend sighed. He had really....dragged EVERYONE involved through hell. He couldn't force Katie. That was right. He could never force Katie into doing things she didn't want. She was like a donkey, extremely stubborn and always ready to kick you if you bothered her.
Legend's jaw clenched tightly as she started to struggle again and spoke her next words. Not in the same way? The seventeen year old wanted to snort. To tell her how wrong she was. But wouldn't that make things any better. She probably wouldn't believe him no matter what he said. "...Breaking up with someone doesn't mean falling out of love with someone. It can...but it didn't for me." He shrugged, eyes falling on Orlando as he let go. Why....would the other boy do that? They had discussed this! NO letting go. Ever. But it seemed like they had BOTH changed their minds.
Then Katie snapped. Which he had been expecting. But it wasn't a bad thing. He had WANTED her to talk. Wanted to her from her, wanted to know what she thought, and how she felt, but most importantly how he could fix things. As the short girl we on and on, Legend's eyes opened slightly. Loosing his grip even more so he could actually look at her. That was what Katie thought? That he had told Neptune they were engaged and probably that it didn't matter and just went and kissed her? When she finally finished a small grin broke out on his face. This was all a misunderstanding. That was what it was. "Katie....Katie...I did tell her one friend to another." Giant misunderstanding. That was all it was. He knew he would probably be punched for smiling but he couldn't help it. It was cute. "I didn't tell Neptune that I was engaged to you before I kissed her. I told her way, way after when we decided to meet again and both agreed that the kiss was a mistake." Or rather...it shouldn't have happened because it wouldn't help both of their situations. "I told her, when she was asking me advice about a previous relationship that she was in, because she was telling me that she still loved that guy. And I was telling her that if she loves someone. She should tell them. And I told her that was what I did when I asked you to marry me. That was my way of showing you that I loved you." He sighed. This...misunderstanding was STUPID? Did you see Katie? It was all an accident. Of course Legend never meant anything by it. "I never met to hurt you." The grin on his face had faded a bit. Because it hit him.
If she didn't believe him....if she didn't accept it. He could really do..nothing else.
The next girl. The old one? He didn't think of neither girls as this. And he didn't understand why Katie would at all."I...she is only my friend...I was trying to give her advice?" He looked down, resisting another sigh.
Replace...replace...Katie? Legend's head shot up so fast he heard his neck crack. She thought they were replacing her? Seriously? That could not be true. No. But...the words had come out of her mouth as clear as day. "Are you serious? Kaite what the hell. No one could ever replace you. No one. I don't care how many friends Orlando gets. I don't care how many girls I end up dating-which really has been only you. But seriously? No one can replace you. You are my oldest friend. When we were younger I TRIED. I BEGGED to get rid of you! And you didn't go! That's sign enough, you're here to stay in my life forever. On top of that you were the first girl I have ever loved and will always love. No one can....just go and replace that. Years of memories....Katie you can't just can't be replaced at all. Never. Not by Neptune or Ryden or any other girl out their. To us you are unreplaceable." THIS WAS SILLY. Why didn't she see how much they cared for her? Why did she thing that they would even go and replace her? Legend felt horrible. Completely. He let go of Katie and shook his head. This....maybe this was a bad idea.
