Not that it was really any of Rafe's business anymore. Yea, yea...He could say he was a one-woman man til he was blue in the face...but at the end of the day, he was just a man. "Yea, I'm actually excited to meet Carter's family." Which was true. She'd heard so much about his baby sister...Marilyn just loved children and wanted desperately to meet her. "You know how much I love children. I want to meet the little one." Whenever she thought about young ones, the blonde felt warm inside. Hopefully, if life was fair, she could have her own someday.

"Wow...meeting the parents...what's next a white dress?" He was slightly sarcastic, but also rather bitter too. Rafe had often thought of Marilyn in a white dress in a Greek fashion. He didn't know why, but she was a goddess in his eyes.

And then an overwhelming feeling of guilty of his own sister he hadn't seen in years. She was probably walking, perhaps even talking, but she would probably never utter Rafe's name. "Well, I'm sure you'll have a good time." And yet she would never know that he was the backbone behind her summer and her safety, yet she would never know.

"Going to take that box with you?" He didn't know where that question came from, but in a way Rafe was curious if she'd even given it a second thought.
