Rafe smirked. He wasn't surprised that Marilyn accepted and that's what he wanted anyways. She would be safe with Carter and her father would never look for her among muggles. "Sounds like you'll be in good hands." Though deep down he didn't know how good Carter's hands were. Marilyn was single and they broke up almost a year ago now. Wow. Had that much time really passed?

Rafe shook his head as she ever suggested a "lady friend." He took another sip. His eyes seemed to get heavier and heavier. "I'm kind of a one woman man," he managed to whisper. Rafe didn't know how his own father could've been with another woman after his mum left. He just had Marilyn on his mind. And he was content with that, even if it led him to a life of eternal bachelorhood. He loved no one else, but her.
