Gabriel could do respect. He was a leader of a team himself, so he had to set an example. The boss' words, no doubt directed at everyone, had more meaning for some than others. The security head had a quick look around at Blaise, Emily and Isobel as Van spoke, wanting to see if what he said affected their body language. So far everyone seemed to be calm and focussed on the meeting.
The Cult business did make him sit up a bit more though. Gabe hadn't known that Van was in, or had been in, the Cult. But when he stopped to consider the amount of information they had on them, it became less surprising. At least he wasn't as shocked as some of the other people seemed to be.... |
