Well now she had someone to talk to, unless Dani was planning on going somewhere. Maybe this was Nika's opportunity to make a new friend seeing as all her other ones had decided to disappear off the face of the Earth. "Thanks," She replied with a small smile. Nika had never been too fond of her own name actually, but no need to get into that.

"Fifth year... So I'm guessing you've taken your OWLs then? Or is it NEWTS for fifth years?" She honestly had no idea. They had canceled the exams last term so this was really the first time she had heard the names. Nika face visibly brightened when she heard the girl ask if she was a second or third year. Most older kids just got cocky and asked her if she was "an ickle firstie", which she doesn't respond well to, but this second or third year thing she could get used to. "I'm in my second! Soon to be third!" She held up her fingers proudly because it just made her that much happier.
