No, wait, he couldn't remember it! Everything in his mind seemed like a blur of moving images and he couldn't see one of them clearly.
"I've been thinking about what happened, and I don't know why nor how it did, and I seriously wish I could turn back time and undo it," he said, pacing from one side to the other. He wanted to turn back time, true, especially if that incident was going to keep him away from her.
He cleared his throat once and then continued, "I wanted to tell you myself, rather than have you hear it from somebody else," because maybe, like this, he could explain a bit more.
Did he have something else to say?
Right. Treyen stood in front of her, two steps away, and his head was down, he'd rather not see her reaction, truth be told, and he was being a coward for that, but he didn't care about that right now. "I kissed someone. Another girl."
His heart was racing too fast, and he only knew that he was completely dreading her reaction.
Oh. Oh. He'd stood up. That wasn't a weird reaction from Treyen, but the timing was weird. He stood up when he got uncomfortable or irritated. Like, that time she mentioned Quidditch...and that time they had that completely worthless discussion on that one word. However, this time, Ellie was completely certain that she hadn't said anything. She wasn't talking. She was only urging him on.
HE was talking, though, but it was definitely in a beating-around-the-bush manner. Ellie really just wanted to firmly, yet kindly of course, tell him to get on with it. The suspense was so not appreciated.
Seriously?! Still?! WHAT happened, Treyen? WHAT?
She wanted to sigh. She even drew the breath to do so, but exhaled slowly, rather than in a forceful manner. But, really, he just needed to get on with it.
...That was it. She could tell by his posture that THAT was the 'something' he'd built up to. Frankly, she found it kind of amusing. Like she didn't know this? She'd SEEN him kiss other girls. And Ellie herself kissed Spike's crown on multiple occasions, and Preston's, and she even planted one on Eino's cheek that time, despite how much she despised him at the time for what he'd done to her. Why did it concern him so much, then?
"I don't see why that's such a big deal..." Honestly. Unless
she should be feeling guilty for those aforementioned kisses...
