Narcissa bowed her head, holding her mother for support. They were never close, far from it. But she mourned the loss. He was her last shred of hope. He had failed. She alone knew of his betrayal. Narcissa had hoped he would succeed. She placed a hand on her stomach. Narcissa said a silent prayer for her baby and the departed.
She laid her flowers on the tombstone, before placing her hands on the words.
