Post New info released on Harry Potter Page to Screen: The Complete Filmmaking Journey

Harper Collins officially released new information on their comprehensive book on the making of the eight-film Harry Potter film series, Harry Potter Page to Screen: The Complete Filmmaking Journey, by Bob McCabe - a sequel, of sorts, to the 2010 release of Harry Potter Film Wizardry. The 540-page book will feature new interviews, photos, and the overall journey in bringing J.K. Rowling's seven books to life on the big screen. A photo of the book can be found in our galleries; highlights of the book, out October 25, 2011, are below.

From the acquisition of the film rights to the casting of Harry, Ron, and Hermione and the assembly of the creative team, Harry Potter: Page to Screen is a unique, behind-the-scenes look at the making of one of the most popular film series in cinema history, as told by the people who made the magic real.

Harry Potter: Page to Screen traces the cinematic process of bringing J.K. Rowling's beloved books to big-screen life. From the moment the book was optioned to the last film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, this book reveals all the filming secrets, never-before seen images, and the most memorable moments - real and fictional - of the Harry Potter saga. Comprehensive interviews, quotes, and stories from the Harry Potter creative team and cast round out the hundreds of images, providing contest and an insightful, in-depth look at the inner-workings of the Potter world. Daniel Radcliffe recounts how his personal life was shaped by playing Harry Potter; his narration sets the tone of the book and connects the many voices of the Harry Potter family.
• This is the first book to detail and commemorate the making of all eight Harry Potter films, including Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 which will premiere in July 2011.
• Chronicles the remarkable creative journey of how the books became films and the Harry Potter creative team and cast breathed life into J.K. Rowling's beloved characters.
• Contains behind-the-scenes anecdotes and interviews from the Harry Potter creative team, including the producer on all eight films David Heyman, production designer Stuart Craig, and director David Yates.
• Features hundreds of never-before-seen photographs and concept illlustrations from the closed set of the Harry Potter films, including everything from the elaborate sets and luxurious costumes to the state-of-the-art special effects and filmmaking techniques.
• With completely new interviews with all cast members, including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and Michael Gambon, this book is the ultimate compendium for Potter fans, young and old.

Please note that Harper Collins listed only a limited set of 60,000 sets to be sold this October, so pre-order the set fast. We will have much more on the book's release later this year.
