You gave us several clues here as to who the character may be. "His emerald green eyes," may be referring to Harry but you mentioned, "his full beard" which may either mean that he's older and this isn't after the battle of Hogwarts or he's a different person all together. I'm assuming that it is Harry but after a battle which occurs during his older years since you also mentioned "his emerald green eyes told a story of many hardships and battles witnessed."

So I guess I might be right in assuming that it is indeed Harry. Or on the second thought, it could be Albus Potter as well! Maybe I'm just thinking too much into this.
