Alfie Emma was just letting out a sigh of relief at Braeden's words. He wanted to split up! Oh happy day! He was going to leave for a while, come back just in time to meet the real Emma when they changed back. And then she could just sit back and relax! And he seemed awfully anxious to go too... Alfie Emma's eyes widened at the sight of them; how had Emma found Theo?! She immediately began to panic, wondering how that interaction had gone down. But before she could question this and release Braeden's hand to subtly head over to where she herself was standing (Emma), Theo was running towards her. For a moment, she gave a faint smile at the sight of him, and had nearly forgotten that she didn't look like Alfie; she was Emma. It was only as the boy called out the name 'Emma' specifically that Alfie Emma got thoroughly confused. Wait, huh? The Emma-look-a-like gave an expression similar to the one the Alfie-look-a-like made at the same time. HUH? Before she knew it, she was being lifted off her feet in a large hug, listening to how Theodore Dumble had missed Emma Malfoy so incredibly much. Alfie Emma was like a deer in headlights, her eyes as large as saucers (a very Alfie-like expression though she barely noticed at this point). WAIT! Why on earth was Theo suddenly missing Emma so much?! The girl, thoroughly confused, was only plummeted into further distress as the boy before her, who looked exactly like Theo, then leaned in for a kiss! Luckily, he seemed to back out of this plan because the Emma-look-a-like sure wasn't leaning in to meet him!

WHAT?! Since when was Theodore Dumble leaning in for kisses from Emma Malfoy?! Alfie Emma just stared up at the boy blankly, somewhere deep inside her a little Alfie-heart cracking. How often did Theo go around hugging Emma Malfoy and missing her? Had she been in a less confused state, Alfie probably would've noticed that something was up because her physical look-a-like was present too. If this was really Theo, and he really had a thing for Emma, there wasn't a chance he would express his feelings in front of both Alfie and Braeden. It just didn't make sense. But that was how a logical person would look at it, and unfortunately, Alfie wasn't thinking very logically at the moment. She was flustered from all of this switching business, and tired of trying to be Emma Malfoy, and now suddenly the boy she had affections for was trying to kiss who she considered her best friend at Hogwarts.

And so that blank face remained on what appeared to be Emma Malfoy's expression for at least thirty seconds, but was really Alfie's own emotions shown through. That was, until, Emma Alfie attempted to step in and confirm that it was indeed Emma, fumbling with the names a bit. It was then that Alfie remembered she needed to be keeping up an act and so she quickly wiped off the distressed expression and stood up a little taller. "Uh...I've missed you too, Theo," she muttered, the only response she could think of. She tried to look a bit weirded out though, as was to be expected from that kind of unexpected hug, and scooted a little closer to Brae for effect.

Theodore, still disguised as Braeden when was this bloody potion going to wear off?!, stepped back as someone intruded on his personal space. Was that... it was Brae! Well, it was Theo, himself. He was looking at himself. And he himself was hugging Emma Malfoy.

Where had he come from?! Turning around, and finding that the logical answer was the double doors that led to the grounds, he saw that Brae was with Alfie, no less! His stomach did a backflip and he bit his lower lip, both enamored and embarrassed. Seriously, though: leave it to Brae Theodore to mess up everything and confuse everyone even more than the narrators are. For the moment, he couldn't resist the humiliation that Brae had thrown upon them both, placing a hand over his eyes and momentarily refusing to even peek through his fingers at the damage that his friend had just done. Unbeknownst to Theo Brae, a few students who had been mulling around stopped to stare and point, as if knowing what romantic shenanigans were going on. Theo Braeden hoped that Emma would notice them, give them her famous Malfoy glare, and scare them off. This wasn't Jerry Springer, for Merlin's sake!

"Hey, erm, Theo. Ol' buddy, ol' pal..." A faux smile on his lips, he grasped who he thought to be Emma's hand more tightly and pulled her to his side, punching Brae "playfully" but more like anxious and irritated that he was forgetting his disguise in his bicep. Had he had psychic twin powers with his best mate, he would have mentally sent him a scolding of giant proportions, something along the lines of: WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!. "And hey, Alfie!" Theo The lion-maned teen waved meekly, attempting to hold back his glee at seeing her in the vicinity. Had she told Brae Theo that they were an item now? He hoped to Merlin she hadn't. She had promised that they would announce it together!

But now he was losing character. Why would she have told her own boyfriend that they were a couple now? Theodore Dumble, disguised as Braeden Stonem, had officially lost it.

Braeden was still completely frozen. It was like he was having an out-of-body experience and this body, Theo's body, was no longer under his control. He couldn't feel his arms, he couldn't feel his legs. He couldn't feel anything but a huge desire to crawl under the nearest rock and disappear forever.

HOW was he going to explain THIS?!

Very, very slowly the boy turned around, his expression one of pure agony as his eyes fell upon "Alfie" who looked completely flustered.

He opened his mouth to talk, but he couldn't find his voice.
Never, EVER, had Braeden messed up this bad. And I think it's safe to say everyone in this scene knows just how badly Braeden Stonem goes around messing things up. Nothing had ever been in these epic proportions before.

Still moving in slow motion, Braeden turned back to "Emma", who had moved closer to "Braeden", who was now punching him back to reality.

"Ow!" He held his upper arm for a moment, the first signs of life making it back to his features.

"Uh--uh... We--well! I-- I mean, y'know... it-- it's been so long since I... I last saw Emma! I mean... what, it's been like... weeks, hasn't it?!" He didn't wait for "Emma" to respond, as he knew that was a big fat lie and the last time Theo had seen Emma had probably been earlier that very same day.

Moving very awkwardly, Braeden took a few steps back to "Alfie's" side. He felt way too embarrassed and awkward to hold her hand again, though. He just hoped the girl didn't hate Theo for life now, because... well, yeah, Theo would NEVER forgive Braeden for that.

"So--so... uh, yeah! Well-- I, uh... y'know, missed you... uh, guys. Both of you... all of you! And um... well, now that I've seen you, I need to use the loo."

Very awkwardly he flashed them all a nervous, forced smile and began to take turtle-slow steps toward the stairs.
