Second Year
Default The Infamous Miss. Greene: The second of the Ella Greene Series - Sa16+

The Infamous Miss. Greene.

Hello, Everyone this is my second fan fiction, and the sequel to Everyone Meet Miss. Greene. [http://www.snitchseeker.com/9505791-post1.html]

I do recommend reading my first one, because this leaves off right when the main character finishes school. If you dont want to read my first one, I can message you and give you details, so you wont be lost. Below, I wrote a little description of the series.

Ella Greene started Hogwarts in her fourth year. Originally from America, she excelled in potions and learned that she wasn’t who she thought she was. A Gryffindor, she quickly made friends, and enemies. With only a handful of people knowing her secret, she must be aware of the dangers if the secret was told to the wrong people. This year she faces more problems than before, with her powers expanding, and the new DADA instructor , Ella has to face some consequences for her actions.

I don’t want to give too much information out, because it really will take a way from the first one.

Everything belongs to JK Rowling.

Chapter One.

Meet me at our spot in ten minutes.

-J

Jenny was in London. In the past couple of weeks Ella had been a prisoner in her own home. The only time she was allowed out of the apartment was to take a walk. Seeking outside contact, her and Jenny had a system and so far hadn’t been caught.

“Mom, I am going to take my walk. Be back soon.”

“Ok” Deborah’s voiced echoed from her usual spot in the kitchen.

Ella grabbed her bag and took off down the street. The summer air was nice and the sights and sounds of the city filled Ella with excitement.

Already there, Ella saw a paranoid Jenny. “Don’t look obvious.” Ella said.

“They could have followed you.” Jenny said still looking.

“You can’t run from Mom and Dad forever.” Ella said soothing her sister by rubbing her back.

“You’re getting big.”

“Shut it.”

Truth was Jenny wasn’t that big at all.

“You should come tonight. You got the invitation right?” Jenny pulled out a black and white fancy invitation.

“Of course I did.” “Can you believe they sent out invitations for a family dinner?”

“Yes” Ella said grabbing the invite.

You are cordially invited to the Greene Family dinner
6pm Dinner
7:00pm Desert in study
7:30 Reflection
8:00 Party ends
Please dress in proper fashion
Dinner will be served by Deborah Greene

“ Whats reflection?” Jenny said laughing.

“ I have no idea.” Ella couldn’t help but roll her eyes. Her parents never believed in simplicity.

“I wrote to Mom and Dad, and even called on their muggle phone.”

“That’s different than actually seeing them.” “You can’t hide anymore, just wear a black ruffled dress.” Ella sat back the sunlight hitting her face.

“Are you nervous?” Jenny said deterring the conversation from the dinner.

“I would be lying if I said no.”

“Sirius has told me many things about this Severus.”

Elevating her voice a tad, Ella responded “Well, I wouldn’t listen to what Sirius has to say , he is a dog after all .” Ella grinned at the sight of a black dog appearing from the alley. With one bark, he circled around and went back into the alley.

Both of the sisters began to laugh.

“Please come, I am leaving tomorrow.” Grabbing Jenny’s shoulders and shaking them she pleaded. “You cant leave me alone with all of them!”

“So Lisa and Angela are coming.”

“Well duh.”

Jenny rolled her eyes, and hugged her sister good bye.

“I will try and make it.”

Ella waved goodbye.

Taking her sweet time walking back to the apartment, Ella began to grasp the reality of her final day there. She was leaving her parents for the entire summer. Not only was she staying with her biological father, but she was meeting her deceased mother’s parents. Feeling panic stricken she quickly turned her thoughts to spending time with the Weasley’s and how she was going to see her friends soon.

“Ella, good your home. You need to get ready.”

“The party is in three hours.”

“Yes, and I want you ready and I need you to help decorate.”

“Why are we having this family dinner?”

“Because, we are a family and this is what family do.”

“Ah I see.”

Walking back to her bedroom Ella saw that her suitcases and trunk were all packed. Rummaging through some more things, she decided she may need to pack a few more items. Hopefully, Snape would allow her to go to Diagon Alley for her supplies. Looking at her room, it didn’t seem lived in. Barely spending a month in it from the time they moved to London, Ella didn’t find this place home.

“Ella are you ready!!"

“Yes, mom I am coming!”

Smoothing her hair down she walked into the kitchen awaiting her commands.

“Ok, I want you at the door at all times.”

“You will be the greeter, and make sure you take the coats.”

“Its summer !”

“Then hats.” The cool look her mother gave her stopped Ella from pushing anymore buttons.

Edward Greene was the first to arrive, seeing her father agitated was nothing knew, so when he shoved his hat in her hands she knew he had a bad day.

“Smells good Deb!”

“Thanks honey.”

“I am going to get cleaned up, rough day today. You have no idea what the ministry is going through right now.”

What about Harry Potter, Ella mumbled to herself.

At 5:45 Lisa and Angela came through the door.

“Ella!” They screamed

Showering there younger sister with kisses the middle set of Greene girls were draped in diamonds and were wearing the latest fashions. As tomboyish as Lisa was she still loved to dress up.

“OK , OK I HAVE MISSED YOU TOO.” Ella yelled trying to catch her breath.

“Mom is in the kitchen.” Ella said directing them out of the foyer.

“I sure hope Jenny comes.” Edward now cleaned up said coming from the living room.

“I sure have missed her.”

Ella rolled her eyes.

But when she heard a knock on the door, she was startled to see Jenny there.

“I really didn’t think you would show.”

“Sirius convinced me.”

Ella nodded.

“They are going to go crazy.”

“I know.”

“Ella , it is six pm come to dinner!”

Ella walked in first, and her oldest sister followed.

“Jenny!” Everyone yelled.
Moving out of the way from the stampede, Ella smiled. At least the attention wouldn’t be on me tonight. She thought.

“Jenny, I assume you have been busy at the Prophet!” Edward said.

“Of course, Dad, I have been traveling everywhere! That’s why I haven’t stopped by in awhile.”

“Good, Greene’s work hard.”
Somehow Ella felt her father wasn’t directing that to her.

“Jenny, you need to find someone. You are what? Twenty seven!” Angela said cutting her steak

“Non sense, my daughter is an amazing journalist! Finding someone can wait.”

“But Dad, she has to be lonely.”

“I am not lonely!” Jenny said getting annoyed.

Then Ella spotted it. It was a dark ring on Jenny’s finger. Looking at it closely she noticed Inscription was the name Black.

It hit her like a ton of brinks.
Jenny forgot to take her wedding ring off.

“Ella cover your month when you cough!” her mother said giving her youngest a cold stare.

“Excuse me”

Jenny didn’t get the hint.

“Ouch, why did you kick me?” Lisa said rubbing her leg.

“Jenny, is that a wedding ring?” Angela stopped eating and her eyes widened at the sight of the simple black band around Jenny’s ring finger.

The table got quiet.

“Don’t be silly! I wear this so men think I am married. Angie, you have no idea where I travel too. It gets exhausting turning down people.” Ella almost laughed.

“Good, I am glad that thing is a diversion, its ghastly.” Ella watched as Jenny tensed up, clearly hurt at Angela’s words.

“That’s my girl, always thinking!” Edward spoke proudly.

Jenny closed her eyes terrified.

“I would like to propose a toast. I just wanted to say that finally after a long absence I am so happy to have my whole family here. My flesh and blood.”
Ella looked up at her father.

“Do you consider me , family? For I am not your flesh and blood.”

“Excuse me?”

“What did you mean?” Ella said raising her voice.

“Oh Ella stop.” Jenny said under her breath.

“No. Jenny.”

“What did you mean?”

“Young lady you will stop it.”

“Or what?”

The air seemed to be sucked out of the room, as no one wanted to intervene.

“ I think its obvious, you have always acted out, never listened, you never fit in.” The blows hit Ella hard, never thinking her own father would think that way of her. But he wasn’t over.

“Potions is the only thing you will ever be good at, a nothing subject that
anyone who can read can do.”

“ I am glad to know how you really feel.” Ella got up from the table slamming her hands down.”

“This is a sham of a family.” “A joke.”

“You will not call my family a joke!” Edward Greene was a large man. His towering appearance was intimidating, but Ella didn’t back down.

“You got what you wanted; you have pushed and pushed me! Next year I will not be back here.” Ella walked back to her bedroom and slammed the door.
She lay in her bed until she heard clattering of dishes and looked at the clock.
=============================

8pm. The party was over.

“Ella, it’s me Jenny open up.”
With a flick of her wand Ella opened the door.

“You really caused a messed you know that?” Hearing her sister’s words, Ella got up from the bed

“Excuse me?” “How dare you defend him?” Just a few feet from her eldest sister, Ella was in shock.

“You should know by now, how he is and you should learn to let it be.”

“I will not stand aside and allow him to treat me like a curse.”

“All these years and you still fear him!” Ella yelled.

“I do not, its called respect.” Jenny was very calm, knowing how Ella could get worked up, she kept her composure.

“Oh don’t give me that load of crap! Jenny, you do fear him! If not why not tell them both the truth.”

“I am not saying you have to love everything they say, but you could at least shut your mouth.”

“I am not a coward.” “And I mean it I will not be coming back here.” “Too long has this family brushed me under the rug, no more.”

“That’s your choice.”

“Get out.”

Ella turned around; she did not want Jenny to see that she was truly scared.

Ella watched as her alarm shifted from 4:59 to 5 am, Ella hadn’t slept at all. She got up, changed, did a couple once overs and was ready to leave. Caring her bags to the car, she sat in the back waiting for there arrival.

They were to head north; to the address Snape had sent them. She remembered when he sent them his address a couple of weeks ago. She argued with them, because she wanted to apparate , or use the floo network, but they insisted on using the car.

“We want some fresh air.” “You need to stop being lazy , Ella” Was there exact words.

At 6 am Edward and Deborah finally got into the car and took off. No music, no talking, the ride was in pure silence.
Hours later, the scenery changed. They were close she estimated. The houses all began to look the same, and the smell of factory soot was in the air. They drove past some teenagers, swinging on some swings and even their expression looked dead.

The drive took a toll on her. Her eyes became heavy and her stomach was spinning.

“Looks like the place, yep there’s the number.” The first words from her mother Deborah startled her.

Once her father parked, she instantly jumped out and grabbed her suitcases and other necessities she had packed away. In an instant Snape came out quickly ushering her in with her stuff.

Not even saying goodbye Ella stood in the middle of his living room. It was a scary thought that in fifteen years the place hadn’t changed at all. She could remember everything from that night when she looked into the penesieve and saw a young Snape. She looked at the chair, where he sat and the where the letter dropped to the floor. Nothing had changed.

Still seeing her large father’s shadow in the door way she tried to listen to what he was saying.

“Good luck with her.” “She is grounded, I would hope that you will still enforce that.”

“ Thank you.” Was all Snape said.

“Mr. Greene, I will still ask that you keep this entire situation a secret. This is dangerous.”

“Of course.”

--------------------------

Ella didn’t realize how awkward this might be. He was her father, but he hadn’t been in her life.

“Let’s begin with the rules.” “Ok” Ella said a little afraid of what they might be.

“I don’t expect you to be trapped in this house, but when you leave you must have caution.” “Lock the doors, have the drapes shut, and do not go out the front door. Make sure no one is outside and always leave through the back alley.”

“I am not going to lie; I will be gone for periods of time in the morning and sometimes throughout the night.”

“Follow me.”

Ella grabbed her bags, and made her way to an upstairs bedroom.

“Your door must always be locked and every time you come in here utter the words Protego. When you utter the spell, I have bewitched the room to change into an old study, just in case someone wanted to look around.”

Opening the closet door, he reveled a trap door.

“ If worse comes to worse, you will see this.”
Closing his eyes, with his wand at the ready a silver figure came out. The figure turned into a doe that began to walk around Ella. When you see my patronus, hide.”

Ella nodded.

“ So I was thinking, we should see the Bowman’s today.” “ Or right now.”

Ella stopped.

“Right now?”

“Yes, I hate to do this to you, but well I want to get this over with.”

“Ok, let me freshen up.”

“Bathroom is that way.”

Ella walked in, locked the door and tried catching her breath. She was to meet her grandparents today. What would they say? Would they hate her? Would they like her?

Splashing water on her face helped and soon she walked down the stairs to the living room.

“Ready?”

“ Yes"
