For now, worries about school, family, and friends seemed nonexistent as they stood together in the cove, as if in a moment suspended in time, while the real world went on around them. Alas, he knew that this moment wouldn't be able to last forever and that they must walk back together, leaving this momentous time behind. Time turner for two, please?
As her head softly lay on his chest, which rose and fell gently with each breath that he took, a small smirk lit onto his face. Of what would have gone on if Theo hadn't grown a pair and taken initiative, he didn't want to ponder. All that matter was that the deed was done and this, this seemed like the start of something beautiful. "To tell the truth," Theo began, "I never much minded the staring. It was... endearing." The heat from Alfie's blush was tangible through the fabric of his shirt. Removing one of his hands from hers, Theodore brought it to her chin to lift her face to meet his. Smiling softly into her blue-eyed, cherub-like wonder of a face, he lowered his head and lightly pressed his lips to her forehead before pulling away. "I... I guess this is it?" He grinned softly, thoughts of what others would say flooding his mind. Theo could already picture the reaction: his girl friends would positively gush, Riley would shake his head, Roderigo would clap him on the back with words of congratulation, and Brae would positively keel over and have a heart attack.
Alfie, too, couldn't help but feel completely comfortable where she was, like she'd stepped into a state of complete calm with the boy she had grown to like so easily. As she listened to Theo's words about her staring, about how he didn't mind it and even found it
endearing, the blonde could practically feel her expression lighting up. The butterflies seemed to have escaped from her stomach, flying around all inside her and making her heart beat quickly, the smile unable to leave her expression. It was as Theo lifted her face up that he must've been able to see this radiant happiness on the girl's face. No one had told her the staring was
endearing, before. "Endearing?" she repeated softly, slight disbelief in her tone.
Her heart seemed to skip in her chest as he leaned down and awarded her with a kiss on the forehead, something she hadn't expected but immediately adored. She bit her bottom lip softly, the warmest of smiles on her features, as she listened to Theo suggest that this was it. Slightly confused, her blonde eyebrows furrowed in amused confusion. "What do you mean?" she asked softly, her large blue eyes bigger than ever but not in observation as was normal. Now they were so large to simply admire the boy before her, seeming to reflect the sparkling sunlight and glittering surfaces of the cove around them.
