When he'd finally settled, and put the basket to the side, Marilyn cleaned it quickly with a wave of her wand. Grabbing a clean napkin, she wiped at his mouth, more intent on help him than realizing how close they were.
When he'd mentioned Occlumency, she paused. "Do you think that'll work?"
Rafe felt like he was being treated like a child. He didn't need this humility. Not with Marilyn, not after they were no longer together. He felt weak and his chest was hurting. He didn't understand what was happening to him. Maybe this had to do with the connection he had with her. It felt stronger than it ever had before, yet something was ripping up inside of him at the thought of him and Marilyn never being together. He didn't know what to do or who to talk about this?
Rafe snapped out of this moment of self-doubt so he could focus on the situation at hand.
"I think it would help...we could perhaps try Legilimency first...just to go through the layers and help you remember everything that happened, so we know...I mean, you know everything and then practice Occlumency to forget everything and block those memories. It's just a thought."
