Mikey smiled slightly. That was the spirit? He was only laughing about it so that this conversation wouldn't be awkward. But it still was. Not because he'd just done the stupidest thing ever but because Carter was much older than he was. And he felt rather awkward around older boys. Especially when he'd watched him run into a post. "Laughing about it won't make it change though" he replied truthfully. No matter how much he wished it would change.

He smiled. "Or I can do better than both and quit sugar all together" Yeah that sounded like a great idea. Then he couldn't get too excited and run into anything else whilst on a sugar high. He was sure he was the only first year to indulge in so much sugar.

Mikey sighed and crossed his legs on the bench. Meh. This conversation actually was pretty good. Considering he felt awkward around the older boy. A little boy with a big boy? It was kinda shocking seeing as he was always picked on by the big boys. "I think everyone has at least once in their lives" he replied. But that was just what he thought.
