Being laughed at was not his best thing. He'd been laughed at by a lot of people and none of them people he could laugh along with. He hoped Carter wouldn't be one of them. "Nice meeting you, Carter" he replied shaking his hand. He let go and allowed his hand to fall to his side. "The nickname will be a secret until the next person watches me smack into a post and almost knock myself out. Too much sugar doesn't help matters" Sugar was his weak point. He was addicted to the stuff. Candy mostly.
Mikey shrugged. "Nowhere in particular, I was meant to be just wondering around but I ended up running instead" he repleid. Again, too much sugar made him hyper. And gave him a little too much energy for his own good. Too much energy led to trouble where Mikey was concerned. Carter chuckled and gave the boy a friendly slap on the shoulder. "That's the spirit. Just laugh about it." That way Carter wouldn't feel as bad when he inevitably burst out laughing.
"Well perhaps next time you should wait until you reach your destination before you indulge in sugar." he suggested with a chuckle. "Or... you know, not run through the halls." Either way worked.
He returned the shrug. "I've done that too from time to time." he said. Of course, he hadn't ever run unto a post doing it. He had taken a wrong turn once and ended up walking into a wall behind a tapestry thinking it was a corridor. He was glad he hadn't been running at the time.
Of course, he probably should have been. He had been late to class that day.
