Whenever Rafe looked in the mirror, he only saw his scars and felt hideous. How could anyone love something so ugly and from something many considered the worse creature in the world? He took in a deep breath, "May I?" Rafe opened the container and offered to put it on if she'd let him.
While he waited for an answer, he was most curious as to what was brought to her attention. "You can ask me anything in the world?"
Marilyn was practically tearing at her bottom lip. Rafe wanted to see them? A surge of self consciousness washed over her...feeling embarrassed to have such things on her young body...
And then she thought about where the scars were actually located and blush fiercely. He'd get quite a view, that's for sure...Yet, he did have that interesting cream. Perhaps it'd work...
What he said clinch at her heart, though. He honestly thought he was unattractive because of his scars.
"Rafe, listen to me...Don't be so hard on yourself. Please." Marilyn was allowed to be hard on herself...but her companion was not. He was a wonderful person not matter if he had scars on his face of not. There was still something so ardently attractive about him that drove the blonde Slytherin crazy...
Wait, he told me he moved on and I'm mentally defending him to myself? No more shrinks, Marilyn. You're doing a smashing job on your own. "Um..." Her blush never leaving her face, she slowing inched the hem of her sundress up to expose the outer part of her thigh. The skin was torn and lacerated, scarred over and disfigured.
