Rafe caught that she was biting her lower lip, that always meant she was nervous and holding back. Then, he could hear her heartbeat. What was going on? Why would this conversation make her feel so secretive.

"Oh really? Monroe and Sinatra made up...and so history repeats itself," he said referring to the actual people in which he nicknamed them after. "Anyways, that's good that you and Carter have settled things. He's always been a good mate." Rafe didn't want to think about them rekindling. After all, they did date at one point in time. Now his heart began to race, but he just took in a few deep breaths to calm himself and not think of them alone... talking... kissing...

Rafe shut his eyes as if the vision was alive right in front of him. He just couldn't think that way. He opened his eyes, "Sorry, allergies, they've been driving me crazy since I've come back to Hogwarts the other day. Must be the dust of something." Rafe ate three more sandwiches before continuing on with the conversation. "That's cool that your helping out younger kids...I'm helping with a second year get over her flying issues... I mean being on a broomstick is part of being a wizard...something natural and something you shouldn't be afraid of right?" Rafe nervously laughed.

Why was he nervous? He had nothing to hide or feel nervous about. What was happening? Rafe felt like he needed to escape. Were the walls closing in?
