I saw DH2 last night at the midnight show--and loved all the enthusiasm the fans had with their costumes and a wand duel out in the lobby of the theatre!!

I loved how DH2 was all fast non-stop action, filled with every emotion.

My favorite parts were: Prof McGonagall's and Neville's bravery in defending
Hogwarts.

Molly Weasley---"not my daughter b***h!! Julie Walters is a great actress, and it was great to see her at Hogwarts defending her family/friends. I was wondering why Bellatrix
exploded like a horcrux, instead of just fading out like the others when they
died?

Of course R/Hr kiss!! That was a real deal for me!! Dan was correct--they
enjoyed it a little too much"!!!

SNAPE--fantastic actor--Alan Rickman better get a BAFTA and Oscar for his fantastic acting abilities. He never disappoints.

Harry/Voldemoort fight scenes--loved it--Harry's comment while talking with Dumbledore--"This looks like Kings Crossing only much cleaner"!!

The sad and horrific site of Hogwarts Castle, and all the students that died.

Here's what I didn't like:

I was really hoping that Moaning Myrtle would have been in the washroom, leading to the Chamber of Secrets. If it wasn't in the book, Kloves could have added it in--like many other scenes. She was one of my favorites, and could have really helped in the battle, being a mischievous spirit. R/Hr just appeared at the snake vault entry. How did they get there?? Did they find another entry??

Tonks and Lupin--that just creeped me out---seeing them both laying there dead--I would have like to see them fight for their lives to give their characters resolution. The same with Fred Weasley---I would have liked to see the fight, not the stark result. It was too short of a scene showing the Weasley's mourning his death.

As for the epilogue, I know JKR didn't write anything about H/G and R/Hr weddings, but that would have been fun to just have a picture of both
couples in wedding clothes, with a write-up in the Daily Prophet. I think jumping 19 years to platform 9 3/4, was too much time that had elapsed.

I think JKR got her point across with all of her books--we're all a community of brotherhood living on this planet, and we all need to be caring, brave, vigilant, and loving towards one another. Harry destroying the Elderwand was
rejecting control and power, and wanting to be JUST HARRY--a caring, brave,
loving husband, father and friend.
