Default Review: LEGO Harry Potter Knight Bus

This is the second version of the Harry Potter Knight Bus produced by LEGO and it has a little more detail than the original, plus it comes with an additional minifigure: Ernie Prang. At just under 300 pieces, this set (#4866) can be put together in less than an hour.

The Knight Bus set includes three double-sided minifigures: Stan Shunpike in his dashing purple uniform, unshaven bus driver Ernie Prang, and Harry Potter in muggle clothes. In addition to his wand, Harry also has as an angry face on one side of his head and a happy face on the other - one of which is covered by his hair once he’s put together.

On the first level is the driver’s seat, steering wheel and gear shift, plus a spot for the shrunked head on the dashboard. There is also a bed with a pillow and headboard in the back of the bus that lays loose so it can move around when bus moves, just like in the film.

The second level holds Harry’s trunk, which has two socks in it, and in the middle of the bus is a chandelier that swings through as the bus moves, again just like in the film. There is also a seat at the front of this level where Harry can sit.

The third level holds the base of the chandelier, and has a seat up front for Hedwig (who, sadly, is not in a cage).

The LEGO Harry Potter Knight Bus is available on Amazon and Amazon.co.uk.
