That...made her frown. Rafe? Like...Rafe Rafe? The Rafe that could have set Destiny on fire Rafe? "I didn't know he returned." She didn't know he left either. Heck, she almost forgot about him. Though the whole break up thing....just....what? "Weird how you both returned at the same time."
Marilyn made a sound as if to agree. Against her better judgement, she knew it was going to come down to a fight. Not that she'd ever back down, because that was unacceptable. She just didn't want to disappoint Carter...and ruin the friendship they were once again trying to rebuild.
"Marie is stubborn, but I don't fault her for it. I understand that I broke her trust...but we can't avoid each other. It'll be best when we can get it out of the way." She sighed, running her fingers through her hair.
"I do need to get out more...It's just hard, given everything that's happened."
Evelyn, of course, surprised her.
