It was cool that Jai had found a friend who wasn't a girl to talk to. Not that he had anything against a friend who is a girl but it was different. It was just guys being guys, nothing more and it was easy and fun.

Carter chuckled. "So how much does being a guru pay?" he teased. "Because I may need a backup plan. I have some serious doubts in some of my grades this term."

"Not only that... but you have to come up with a theme song. You can't be a spy without one. And I wouldn't dare send you into the field without a proper one." he said laughing. It was nice for a joke to take on a life of its own every once in awhile. It was also nice to have a friend so similar to himself in that way.
