He really did like this young woman, and it pained him to cause either of them pain, but they were blinded by emotion. "You won't mean to change him, but he'll change. He'll stop being boisterous. He'll try to be more clever, because you're more clever. And you'll change too... you'll try to change the way you think and act, both of you, because you want make the other one happy. And what will you do in a few years when you realize that you have no one to talk to and he realizes he has no one to make him laugh? You'll be stuck with someone who isn't who they were when yougot together and still isn't the person you should be with."
