Alan Rickman shrinking just sounds hilarious to me for some reason. He sounds like he takes a great interest in the kids careers and has an almost fatherly/mentor-ish affection for them. I dunno, maybe thats just the way I see it. I also love how much the "kids" seem to respect the older actors
