Spike peered round the terracotta pot carefully as he manoeuvred round the dining room.
Honk. Honk-honk. Honk.
“What are those?” Indiana asked, looking up from her drawing.
“Daffodils,” Spike answered simply. Surely she had seen enough daffodils in the springtime to know what they are? The bright yellow flowers were distinctive enough.
Indy slowly shook her head. “They can’t be.”
Honk. Honk. Hoooonk.
“Why not?” Spike asked, putting the pot on the table.
“Daffodils don’t honk.”
“These ones do.”
Indiana rolled her eyes. “Are they usually this noisy?”
Spike grinned. “Of course. Why else would they be called Honking Daffodils?”
