Damien jumped, taken aback by Lockharts response to where he was bunking at night. Of course he'd respond that way. Being Prefect and finding out that one of his own housemates (who he's never seen before) isn't even sleeping in his own dorm. Had to give the guy credit, that's for sure. He definately deserved to have that pin on his robes. He wa going out of his way for Damien, really; more than any other person he'd met as a matter of fact.

Treyen didn't know Damien's whole story, yet though.

"You're certainly going through a lot of effort," he said, taking his hands out of his pockets. "No need to bother a House-Elf. I do hear they are also quite accomodating. I don't really take up too much space and don't have too many things with me anyway."

So was it settled then? Was Damien going to follow Lockhart back to the Common Room and get settled in the boys dormitory? Maybe this is going to be a step in the right direction. Maybe if he started acting like everything was normal, fine and dandy ... then maybe he could finally find some peace.

Okay. Fair enough. That's what Damien had been asking all along, apparently. So, he was from Ireland, and Treyen had been to Ireland a couple times. Sounded good. To him. At least there was no awkwardness or no questions regarding a place he didn't know existed.

Like Simon's.

But the Prefect resisted the urge to roll his eyes when he spoke of 'effort'. "It's nothing, really," he said, in a jokingly manner, "I don't see how it could be much trouble to tell you where your bed is, right?" because it wasn't. Not when he was heading that way. And even if he wasn't, the Common Room was too close by, that he'd still do it.

"We won't bother a House-Elf, then, but you'll have to, at least, follow me now so you can get settled...," Treyen probably should add something else, since Damien didn't seem too keen to accept much help, "...you can even move your things from the Room of Requirement by yourself, but don't ever sleep there, unless the dungeons and the kitchens are flooded," er, was Damien around for that? Was Treyen even around for THAT? "I'm only kidding, of course," he smiled, a very friendly smile, and then gestured for Damien to follow him.

"Do you like Quidditch?" that was the last question he asked, before taking the stairs towards the Common Room.
