Josh simply smirked when Lafay kinda scolded Destiny for not obeying her orders. Yea, that was what that girl deserved. She needed to learn to obey her superiors and whatnot. He was not a creature to avoid.
Apparently this little upset state of him reflecting on his face in the form of a little pout, he looked at Lafay when she commented about his hands. Those big and little she-snakes, apparently, were never going to believe him about the matter of hygiene no matter how much he had tried to explain himself so shrugging a bit he could decided to play along. ''Well...what great man did not get his hands dirty when he was younger, professor?''
And now, since he had been threatened well, it seemed like Destiny had decided to go with what the Potions Mistress was saying. He could see the obvious displeased expression on her face but was he supposed to care about that anyway? If she had not been simply trying to get him in trouble, he could have cared about how she felt but in this situation after what she had done...nope...he did not care.
He even snorted loudly when the she-snake spoke and looked away. ''And i swear if you happen to squeeze any part of mine, you will pay for it!'' And after sending that last glare at her, the Gryffindor closed the gap between their hands by taking one more steps toward her and slowly held her hand.
Hmmm...it felt slightly cold as well...like Evelyn's.

Hecate smirked and drew her wand, she tapped their hands with him and silently cast a charm. The air between their hands was sucked out like a vacuum. Their hands were now locked on one another.
"You are now locked together. Neither of you have done the potions homework yet. You are to go on the grounds and find 5 items that can be used as potions ingredients, and bring them to the potions storeroom. If you can do this, and not kill each other, the charm will undo itself and you will free from one another." And who knows... they might become friends. "Oh... I should say, this is a new charm I've learned... and I've heard if it isn't undone by the end of the day, nightfall will make it permanent, and not even muggle surgery will help..." She lied. "Don't think you can come to me and have it undone... I don't know the counter-spell..." she said innocently.
Oh Yeah... Hecate Lafay could be innocent... but it was more frightening than cute. The charm was neither permanent nor undoable. Hecate knew how to reverse it... but this was much more fun.
"Have a good day..." she said and began walking back towards the castle.

What was Josh so worried about
her squeezing
his hand for? He was, as he liked to call himself, the Master of Everything. A little squeeze shouldn't hurt him much, and Destiny had decided, if he ever did grab her hand, she was going to do just that. She really wanted to see him make her pay..because she didn't have any money.
But all thoughts of squeezing the boy's hand disappeared from her mind once he grabbed hers, and by the time she was done cringing and making gagging noises from how disgusting it felt, she had no time to rethink about it. Destiny watched in HORROR as Lafay drew her wand and she wanted to RUN away. But despite the Professor not looking like she was fast, she probably was, and if she was caught, the punishment would just be about ten times worse then whatever she had planned.
Or not.
There was NOTHING worse than having your hand attached to Josh's. It was worse than the time Lawson had attached that rope to her and Marie's wrist for MONTHS. This was JOSH and..it was all his fault! If he hadn't put that rat spleen down her back in Potion's, she wouldn't have wanted to get him into trouble. Shaking her hand and Josh's as well, she tried desperately to get them to un-stick.
"Professor Lafay! This is INHUMANE!" She had no idea what that word meant, but it seemed appropriate to say at the time. Her eyes grew wider as the woman spoke and she wanted to tell her that she had no intentions of ever doing the homework. She didn't want to go collect ingredients for her, but if she didn't..WHERE WOULD SHE SLEEP!? She couldn't be stuck to Josh forever!
Turning to face Josh as Lafay started to walk away, walk away like she HADN'T just RUINED someone's life, Destiny narrowed her eyes at the boy before beginning to poke him in the chest with their attached hands.
"This. Is. All. Your. Fault!"
Lafay said nothing about poking not being allowed..
