Dear Defense Against the Dark Art Students,
I hope you all are feeling better about yourselves from all the hard work I know you've been into the last assignment I gave you. Keep up the good work and the training and I know you'll all be better people and citizens than you started this year off as.
Unfortunately, I'm still too busy and important to visit with you all. You have my apologies, but I'm sure I have your understanding in return. But do not fear for your training against the Dark Arts is still in the forefront of my mind. Below, you'll find your next assignment.
Yours truly,
Lord Berty Borr
Order of Merlin, First Class
Acting Minister of Magic
V.I.P.
Defense against the Dark Arts isn't always fought with wands.
Each DADA student is to select a seedling and plant it along the border between the grounds of Hogwarts and the Forbidden Forest. Not only are you providing an extra layer of protection between yourself and the evil creatures that lurk beyond your border (for example centaurs and werewolves), but you're bettering the environment. Plant your seedling and provide it with the proper care to ensure that it will grow into a healthy and sturdy evergreen one day.
Keep all account of your actions, trials, and triumphs in your DADA journal. This assignment will be due at the end of the term with your fitness training journal.
OOC: RP your character doing these activities throughout the term, keep an IC journal, and links to your character RPing. You'll be rewarded appropriately by amount of effort shown. Do not turn this in right away, as it is a term long assignment. At the end of term, Lord Borr will accept your diaries via PM unless otherwise stated. You may use the DADA training room, or anywhere else in the school.
A typical entry would include:
IC date/time
IC recount of seedling planting
Link to RP
