I know it's not much, but it's something!
“She needs to wake up.”
“No, just let her sleep.”
I could hear Emily and Lily fighting right beside my bed.
“Lily, we’re going to be late.” That was Emily.
“It doesn’t matter. She’s had a bad night. And besides, it’s only divination she’s going to miss.” That was Lily.
I groaned and sat up. The two fell silent as I pushed the curtains aside.
“What time is it?” I asked groggily.
“Late.” said Emily.
“Seneca, just stay here. I’ll tell the professor you’re not feeling well.”
“No. It’s ok. I’ll go.” I stood up and stretched.
“I’m going to go.” Said Emily. “I’ll meet you two in the classroom.”
I was pulling clothes out of my trunk when she ran down the stairs to the common room.
“So you’re ok?” asked Lily gently.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” I replied.
“Even with everything that happened last night?”
“Yes.” I snapped. “It was probably nothing.”
“Ok, if you say so.” her unbelieving tone didn’t make me feel any better.
“Go with Emily.” I said. “I don’t want to make you late.”
Lily took a step towards the door. “Are you sure?”
“Yeah.”
She disappeared as I threw on an old pair of robes. I quickly brushed my hair and then too ran down the stairs.
Remus was waiting at the bottom.
“Hey, are you okay?”
“Yes.” I said. I was beginning to get annoyed.
I looked around the common room. It was almost empty save for the marauders, who were goofing off in the corner, and me and Lily, who was walking over to talk to James.
“We should go.” I said suddenly. “I don’t want to be late.”
“ok.” said Remus quietly.
He took my hand and pulled me over to the Fat Lady’s Portrait.
Kinda boring, I know.
