Ok so after watching the four students try their luck at the new set of calculations on the board with the instruction of Hadley, Riley believed he too was ready to try his hand at them. The Gryffindor picked up his quill, glanced at the board another time and then set to work on his parchment:
After a few minutes of work and hardly any crossouts and mistakes, Riley had finished calculating each of his four Challenge numbers. Feeling quite accomplished with himself, the seventh year sat patiently in his chair, awaiting Professor Hadley to come over and check his work--he was only fidgeting minimally from excitment.
