Kurumi observed her cat as it began to snore. Clearly, the two dozen tuna fish cookies that it had eaten had made his belly full and had knocked him right out. Kurumi sure hoped that Walnut never found out about her feeding HIS cookies to another cat. Chances were that he would pee in Shaw’s shoes – never Kurumi’s.

Her attention turned away from the cat, whom she decided to name Buta (Japanese for pig), and towards Shaw when he began speaking. She remembered how she had struggled a little the first lesson understanding him, but now he seemed like Shakespeare compared to Mr. Viking. She was ALMOST willing to forgive him for nearly causing her to jump out of her robes in shock during the first lesson from the chainsaw.

“Fera verto comes from two Latin words,” she said as she raised her hand. “Fera means beast or animal whereas verto means transform or I turn.” She looked at the fat cat and tried not to giggle. Whatever it was she would be trying to turn the cat into would come out at least ten times the size of everyone else’s considering the cat was at least ten times larger than them. Noticing Eino’s cat, Kurumi had to wonder if massive amounts of fur, or lack thereof, would alter the results of the spell.
