It really must be the catnip that Shaw doped these cats with. Seriously, cats weren't all this feisty, were they?
Seeing her cousin move to gather what was left of the offensive catnip, she frowned. She didn't want to have to revert to it, but if you can't fight them and all; you might as join them. Picking up some between her fingers, she moved a bit close and slowly knelt to the gorund. "Well, let's hope this won't affect it more." The little beast was already hissing up a storm and ready to attack.
Sniffing the air, the cat stopped its hissing and eyed the two of them suspiciously before moving toward them with care. This wasn't a foolish cat, no when catnip was involved; it was always good to be cautious.
Watching the feline moving toward them, Mina moved her hand down to the ground and held it still. She didn't want to scare the cat and end up with scratches, no that would just not do at all. Simon couldn't help but shrug at her words that sounded as if they held some truth in them even if the felines in question werent behaving along the lines of the ideal behaviour. "Beats me," he said waiting for the cat to make its move. He nodded as Mina voiced aloud a thought he agreed with, hoping more catnip in the mix didn't make the situation get worse instead of easier.
He sat even stiller as the cat proved to have picked up the scent of both their samplings of catnip. The boy smiling as its nose moved as it caught the smell sniffing the air and patted closer to them hesitantly always watchful. "Well at least it has some smarts," he mused quietly seeing as their prey had the sense to be cautious. "That's it..." he said to the cat as it moved closer. "We don't bite. We want to be nice," he assured it trying to intice it closer so either Mina or he himself could get a hold of it.
