Hearing a familiar voice behind her, Mina turned her head and nodded. "Yes, this little beast and I are getting nowhere fast," she replied.

Simon tried not to chuckle as his cousin tried to reason with the cat with no result...or rather no good result. "If only cats could be reasonable," he mused trying to think of an attempt that might work. He was nto exactly a cat person, having a dog and a bat at home but that didn't mean he didn't get along with those of the feline persuasion like Walnut and others. The seventh year looked around for anything that might help, his gaze falling on a nearby window that had some remnants of the offending catnip that littered it.

"Perhaps one needs to have something appeasing. Its not like it can get anymore effected," he added taking some in his fingers before taking a seat on the floor of the corridor. "Here Kitty...want some more?" he asked holding his hand out and still.
