It was time to get down to business. Rolling up the sleeves of his collared shirt, then rolling them back down as he realized that they would provide some mode of thin protection, he glanced at Rod and a particularly fierce-looking calico cat. "Any ideas, mate?" It might have been time for Theo to bring out his muggle side.
Roderigo frowned slightly as his friend called him by his surname. Shaking his head, he looked from the absurd-looking sixth-year, to the feral calico cat made a horrible hissing noise near the two of them. His hand instinctively shot down into the pocket of is robes before he reminded himself that Shaw had taken their wands away. He turned to Theo.
"If you have a cat and all, why are you so...ah, worried?" he asked. "You afraid these cats? I doubt Shaw would give us-" he stopped. He suddenly realized that he had no idea if Shaw would give them cats that could seriously harm them or not, and the realization made him slightly worried. Shaw was definitely an bizarre person.
Shaking his head, he squatted in front of the feral cat and smiled at it. It hissed at him again.
"I don't want to touch it, it'll attack me for sure," he said finally, standing up again. "If you're a cat person, you must have some idea how to calm it down. This cat clearly seems disturbed." he looked back at the cat. It seemed so cute, but so angry. Roderigo was even more perturbed by the fact that they were wandless
and they had no other tools or materials. He could hardly see how this was relevant to Transfiguration. This lesson seemed more related to a Care of Magical Creatures lesson if anything.
