I'd like to see him try and catch one of these stubborn cats." Hehe. Wouldn't that be a sight!? Shaw. Catching a crazy cat. Now that would be a show.
Nika gave her a weak shrug as she spoke. "I don't see what was so bad about using a wand. It would have been so much easier." Why did Shaw have to take them away in the first place. Nika was hesitant about giving it up, but she didn't want Shaw to unleash his chainsaw again. No, because it was freaky enough seeing him use it the first lesson.
WAIT.
Did Sierra just say she was going in!? She didn't look so happy about it, but it was there best shot. Nika would have offered to help, but it looked too small. "Any luck?" She asked Sierra with her voice raised slightly so that her fellow second year could hear. Hopefully it was catnip. Not just for Sierra's sake but for the sake of getting this "cat catching" thing over and done. Who knows what Shaw will have them do next!?
Sierra could hear Nika talking with the Hufflepuff captain, but she couldn't really see what was going on behind her. She'd lowered herself as close to the ground as she could without lying down on it and was creeping toward the catnip/poo substance.
"Not yet," she called out to Nika.
"It's too dark in here. I need a blasted wand." Shaw and his not-so-brilliant ideas. What would have been the harm in using a wand anyway?! This was Transfiguration, not Muggle Studies. How Muggles ever caught their blasted cats was beyond her. Was it this hard for them, too?!
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, and when she opened them again, her hand was closing in on the catnip/poo.
"This better not be cat poo," she murmured to herself. Realizing they'd get no further if they didn't do something now, she closed her hand around the...
"...oh," she said, stepping out of the nook and breathing a sigh of relief.
"It's catnip." She kept a piece for herself and handed some to Nika. Was the Puffer working with them, too? She eyed the girl then handed her a piece, as well. There. She'd done her good deed for the year.
