He was probably old-fashioned, but Matthew still didn't feel very comfortable to address his boss by her first name. But maybe it was just a matter of getting used to it. The cookies looked delicious, but Matt wasn't a fan of sweets, so he had to come up with a polite way to decline.
'They're excellent, I'm sure, but I'm one of the few people who don't like sweets. However, if you don't mind, I will take some to send to my family.' the man replied.
'Of course. I'll get working on those letters then.' Matthew was relieved that he finally found out what he had to do. But he frowned at the second part.
'Liven up the offices? Is this...a joke?' he asked, convinced that International Cooperation and interior decoration had nothing in common whatsoever.
