49. Yule Ball

The Yule Ball was fast approaching. Tyler and Lucy were sitting by the lake, skipping stones into the water.
“So, you got a date for the ball?” Tyler asked casually.
Lucy looked over and giggled. “No, not yet. You?” She asked him, wiggling her eyebrows.
“Nah. The girl I wanna ask would never say yes,” Tyler responded with a smirk.
“You sure?” Lucy said with another giggle.
“Umm…you wanna go to the ball with me?” Tyler asked her with a grin.
“NO,” was the defiant reply.
The two started laughing together.
…”Wait, really?” Tyler asked seriously once they had stopped.
