Checking over her letter once more, Kurumi debated adding another line asking about what she had discovered in the library with Treyen. The rune reading she had done with Sierra during Ancient Runes had instructed her that THAT was not the best course of action. On the other hand, Treyen's voice rang loud and clear in her head telling her that she should just flat out ask her father about it all. Get everything out in the open. She couldn't help but feel that it probably would be best if she asked in person. She had missed the opportunity over the holiday. All that sort of talk being forbidden in her home in Japan and all.
Hugo held the envelopes in his hands. It was about time he'd write something to his family again. His sister would be very interested in the latest news of the love thingy and his mum just wanted to know anything. But he was sure to keep them both apart, so that mum wouldn't overreact. He clearly had the location
"LONDON" on one letter and
"HOME" on the other one. Athena would know the difference. Hugo stepped in the owlery and the poop smell penetrated his nostrils. He remembered that time with Fee when he had cleaned it all up and Chandler thought he ate it all.
Now where was his owl? Oh, there she was. Hugo walked towards
Athena who was sitting in a window, almost not noticing one of his closest friends. He picked up Athena and gave her a treat.
"Hey Kurumi," Hugo said and the owl hooted.
"What's up?" he asked, eyeing the letter Kurumi was about to send. They hadn't talked in a while. But seeing as love was kind of a touchy subject for her right now, he decided not to tell her about his first kiss that had happened a while ago. And his second kiss that happened yesterday night. Yup, that was awesome.
"This is Athena," Hugo said and petted the animal as he gave her the letters. Apparently, she had emotions. He turned his head and looked in the bird's eyes. She was just a bird... Right? He gave her another treat and set her free with the two letters. A cat would be nice too. Owls weren't the most huggable pet.
