Yeah.
You'd think that after all the verbal and physical abuse, Braeden would get the message that he and Ruby were not friends but, rather, bully and victim. However, in his masochistic mind, Brae thought they had some sort of friendship. A twisted friendship, yeah, but a friendship nonetheless.
And then Ruby was letting him keep the photograph.
The surprises did not end this day! Ruby - the fiery redheaded Lioness - was actually letting him keep the picture?! Wow. "…Thanks," muttered the Gryffindork with the ghost of a smile on his lips. He couldn't bring himself to flash one of his goofy grins again though.
Were he and Ruby seriously NOT friends?! ;_________; When did THAT happen?! Sure, they were a little weird, but… he thought they were friends! :'(
Ruby simply shook her head when he asked about the friendship thing but then stopped halfway in between--he seemed really upset and...and surprised. She raised an eyebrow at him, clearly confused. Did he really think they could have some sort of friendship after what they had been through?! Wow. Braeden Stonem
never ceased to amaze her. The redhead really hoped he wouldn't start crying or something because she would just run away.
But all the same, he seemed genuinely upset, except that the photograph had cheered him a little. She noticed that he didn't grin though. Well, what was she supposed to tell him, that they
were friends?! Oh Merlin.
Ruby took a step towards him and tried to put on a concerned face, which was impossible.
"Umm, well...do you...do you think we're friends?" She asked him in a non-Ruby voice. This was getting way to awkward for her, she just wanted to be able to yell at him again and watch him squirm.
