OOC: Have fun thinking of answers for this one. You can mention anything that could be interpreted as magic. Think about movies and crazy legends that you might have read about or seen. "Uhm some pirates or at least a member of their crew probably knew of some weather spells-- you know wind in their sails, create mists of fog, even conure a whirlpool if needed?" Heck if he was on a ship thats what he'd do.
