After checking to make sure the names were added, she turned back to the students, "I'm sure many of you have heard the legends associated with Pirates and understand what they are. Like I mentioned before, Pirates are an important part of the wizarding and muggle world and have helped shape our history in many ways. " she paused for a second and then continued, "Pirates have influence the history of magic by through the many pirate legends and stories of different mystical and magical events that often surrounding the stories associated with pirates. Muggles thought these stories were just fables or imaginations, but we know that they were actually events of magic or magical creatures. There are plenty of instances that it was apparent that some pirates were actually wizards. There are other instances that the muggle pirates had encounters with actual magical creatures." she let that sink in for a few seconds.
"A great example of this would be muggle pirates running across a creature that puzzled them known as a mermaid....we are lucky to have a little knowledge of mermaids since they do inhabit our lake and occasionally we get to interact with them." she said with a little nod up and down.
"Can anyone think of another example of either pirates encountering magical creatures or examples proving that a pirate was a wizard?" she asked. She knew this would have to make some of them think.
Uhhhh.
Was this History of Magic or Muggle Studies?! Sierra was honestly starting to wonder. Were these names, all these pirates and all these stories to go along with them, parts of Muggle books? If so, how was she, a pureblood, meant to know them?
...blahhh.

He stared at her for a couple of minutes as the rest of the of the class continued to suggest other pirates. Her eyes, her hair, her skin, her voice...
What is happening? He was drooling.
He momentarily snapped out of it when the professor asked another question, but now he was nervous. All of the sudden it was like his tongue had enlarged, his throat was dry, and he hot. He tried to fan himself with his hand, then parchment, then loosened the collar of his shirt. Finally he raised his hand "Professor, Sir Francis Baker-- I mean, Drake! Uh.. Um, he lead the first English circumnavigation, which was extremeness difficult considering their resources at the time so it is possible he used magic to do so. He also played a major role in the destruction of the Spanish Armada. He somehow managed to send fire-ships directly to the Armada to destroy them. It always seemed strange to me that he was so successful at it. I suspect he used magic to create the fire and navigate the ships." He took a deep breath and tried to look at the Slytherin girl. Was she looking at him?
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
Well, she could always cheat off the Ravenclaw again...
...or not. Ewww, was he drooling?! ...and
staring at her?! She gave the Ravenclaw a slight
look--he looked like a flobberworm right now.
"What?!" she hissed at him, her eyes looking toward the professor to make sure she wasn't looking. Then a question was asked, and the flobberworm looked away.
Eww. See if she ever cheated off a Ravenclaw again. They had
odd reactions to it, it seemed...
Ugh. So now she had to come up with an answer on her own, and she had nothing. Blahhh.
"Well, it's obvious that the pirates with lots of gold are also wizards," she said, raising her hand in the air. She lowered it before adding,
"There's no way any Muggle can get away with stealing that much money." She paused and eyed the Ravenclaw boy again. Was he...
alright? "Anyway, so maybe they're using Summoning Charms or Disillusionment Charms."
Riiiight. She'd pretty much gone on and on about nothing, hoping there'd be answer in there somewhere.
