"Destiny. That is not what a sea cabbage is." Mia knew that there were some vegetables that grew in water but cabbages definitely were not one of them. "I swear you just make this stuff up."
They should have really written down all the things they were going to do because Destiny could not remember if they were still planning on stealing a giraffe and baby elephant. Sure, she would still like to steal them, but they had made so many plans afterwards that there might not be enough time during the summer to do it all. And if she didn't get the chance to become a spy..well, she had no idea what she would do. Probably nothing. Meh.
"My goggles don't have x-ray vision." She blamed her mother for that
"But they do help you see in the dark! And it gets VERY dark in the Serengeti." She made a spooky little OooOOooing noise. Mia wasn't scared of the dark, was she?
Destiny gave her friend a satisfied grin as she levitated the basket of cabbages. What would have happened if she accidentally tripped and dropped them all? Surely the pirates would not have appreciated dirty cabbages. They would make them walk the plank!
And they were supposed to be avoiding Davy Jones' locker.
Really!? REALLY!? What did Mia know about sea cabbages? Nothing! Because she had said she never even heard of the things before.
"I didn't make it up! It is a SEA cabbage, so it HAS to come from the sea. It's sorta like salt, but not like salt." Did that make sense? No? She would explain.
"Sea salt is found in the SEA and table salt is found on the TABLE." Common sense right there.
